Hi and welcome to Strands and Bands by Fran!

Beading has almost always been a part of my life, a hobby I picked up from my talented grandmother, who shared her beautiful collection of colorful glass seed beads with me.

Following a career in NYC advertising and side businesses creating video montages and handmade custom invitations and birth announcements, I enrolled in several classes to further my love of beading. What began as a creative outlet for me evolved into Strands and Bands by Fran, as people asked about buying my beaded jewelry.

I design and hand-weave or hand-string every item myself without a loom. And while my grandmother's vintage beads occasionally find their way into a few of my pieces, I primarily save them for inspiration. I love finding and collecting equally stunning new beads and gem-stones to use in my collection.

Whether you choose one of my colorful sets or mix & match to create a gorgeous stack of your own, Strands and Bands are a unique, fun, and stylish way to express yourself.
